My wife and I did a remote year in 2019-2020. We got a one year visa to live in Spain as digital nomads. We lived in Madrid for 4 months, Barcelona for 6 months, Budapest for 1 month and went fully nomad the last month. We used Madrid, Barcelona and Budapest as home bases while we travelled around.
